The Vancouver Canucks’ road trip will continue Tuesday night in Pittsburgh against the Penguins and it looks like they’re set to take on a very familiar face.
Adam Foote & the Vancouver Canucks are currently on their second-longest road trip of the 2025-26 season which included a very early start time for fans on the West Coast for Sunday’s game against the Washington Capitals.
Looking beyond Sunday’s contest, the Canucks have two more games on their road trip before heading back to Vancouver next Saturday, as they’ll face the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday and Nashville Predators on Thursday.
When the Canucks take to the ice at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night, it appears that there’s a strong chance they’ll be looking down the ice at a familiar face that was part of the organization just three months ago.
Vancouver Canucks to reportedly face Arturs Silovs on Tuesday nightIn a social media post last night, Jeff Paterson of Rink Wide: Vancouver shared that the Pittsburgh Penguins were giving Tristan Jarry the start on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks and if Dan Muse was to stick with his normal goaltending rotation, that would mean Arturs Silovs will face his former club, the Vancouver Canucks, on Tuesday.
“Tristan Jarry starts for Pittsburgh tonight in San Jose. Pens have alternated goalies in early going. Sets up Arty Silovs to get the nod in next game vs #Canucks on Tuesday” Jeff Paterson said.
Silovs, 24, found himself in a bit of a crowded crease in Vancouver this summer as the club has Thatcher Demko and Kevin Lankinen locked up for the foreseeable future.
In three games this season, the Riga native has a 2-1-0 record along with a 2.67 goals against average, a .908 save percentage and one shutout.
Puck drop for Tuesday’s game against Arturs Silovs and the Pittsburgh Penguins is set for 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
