After a short road trip, the Detroit Red Wings look to get on the winning track on Saturday night, as they return home to take on the St. Louis Blues.

The Red Wings come back to Little Caesars Arena with a lot less confidence than they had earlier in the week. Despite coming off a strong homestand, Detroit faltered in its short two-game road trip in New York.

After a disappointing loss to the also-rebuilding Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night, the Wings were embarrassed by the New York Islanders the following night, losing 7-2, by far the team’s worst defeat of the season.

The Red Wings hope it was just a small blip in what was a solid start to the young season, and look to continue their strong play on home ice. Along with sweeping their three-game road trip last week, Detroit is 4-1-0 at LCA this season.

They take on a Blues that its coming off a wild matchup with the Utah Mammoth on Thursday night. St. Louis entered the 2025-26 season with the expectations of building off a strong end to last year, which saw another improbable run to the postseason.
