Patrick Roy, Simon Holmstrom and Marshall Warren comment on Islanders shootout loss in PhiladelphiaIslanders head coach Patrick Roy saw his team’s four-game winning streak snapped after a 4-3 overtime loss to the Flyers but felt the Islanders played another strong game, save for a couple of defensive mistakes. Roy was impressed with rookie defenseman Marshall Warren, the Long Island-native making his NHL debut. Warren notched a pair of assists, calling it “the experience of a lifetime.” Roy was also pleased with the play of forward Simon Holmstrom who tallied a shorthanded goal and was a constant presence around the net.
