Utah Mammoth News & Notes:
Utah rolls into Canada Life Centre for the first time as the Utah Mammoth, but they’re also the top dog in the Central Division. They defeated the Minnesota Wild 6-2 last night and look to get another win on a back-to-back and their seventh straight win. Former Winnipeg Jets Brandon Tanev and Stanley Cup Champion defenseman Nate Schmidt make their returns to Winnipeg with the Mammoth. Utah will be without Alexander Kerfoot as he’s expected to be out eight-to-ten weeks with a core muscle injury.
Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
Winnipeg looks to continue their winning ways as they attempt to beat the Mammoth and their seven game winning streak tonight. The Jets are also inching closer to the return of their captain, Adam Lowry, who’s been out up until this point as he’s recovering from hip surgery that he underwent in the offseason. Lowry shedding the non-contact jersey signals that he could be making his season debut soon, and a roster move or two could signal that he’s ready to go.

Utah Mammoth
JJ Peterka was a massive offseason addition for Utah, and he’ll be looking to add to that hype with a big game against a divisional rival.
Vitek Vanacek looks to be the difference maker tonight as he’s projected to start in Winnipeg. His play could extend Utah’s winning streak and keep the Mammoth in first place.
Winnipeg Jets
Gustav Nyquist has been a sneaky pickup by Winnipeg this offseason. He’s added another layer to the Jets’ scoring depth and could easily be a big contributor against Utah.
Connor Hellebuyck is still looking for that big performance to start the season, and Utah could be the team that he does it against.
Logan Stanley has had a strong start to the 2025-26 season, and he’s going to continue building on that momentum with a big game against Utah.
