Key Stories to Watch

Scott Wedgewood got his first complete game off in Sunday’s 4-3 OT loss to the Devils. He’s back between in the pipes in the second of a home-and-home. Mackenzie Blackwood is healthy and will back up for Wedgewood.
Wedgewood is 4-0-0 with a .965 save percentage and two shutouts in his career against New Jersey. He shut them out with the Avs last year in one of his first games after being acquired from the Nashville Predators.
The Avs are winless in their last four games, going 0-1-3 in that stretch. Colorado has four OT/SO losses this season already, which matches the number they had last year in a whole 82-game season.
After defeating the Avalanche on Sunday, New Jersey has won eight straight games, with a record of 8-1-0 following an opening night loss.
Jacob Markstrom is back following a lower-body injury that’s kept him out since Oct. 13.
