LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Vegas Golden Knights return to the ice Tuesday looking to even their playoff series against the Oilers.
Edmonton took the first two games, but the Oilers now hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series after Reilly Smith scored with less than a second left in Vegas’ stunning victory on Saturday.
The Golden Knights only trailed in a series 2-0 once before in franchise history: also in the second round in 2021 against the Colorado Avalanche. They came back to win four straight games and take that series 4-2.
Saturday’s win was also Vegas’ 28th victory in 50 postseason games on the road. That’s the second most in NHL history through that mark, behind only the Oilers with 32.
Puck drop for Monday’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
