Forward Martin Necas, fresh off his newly signed 8-year extension, will be looking to celebrate his new contract with a victory over San Jose. Last season against the Sharks, Necas had a goal and an assist in a 7-3 Avalanche victory.

William Eklund scored in the opening minutes to help lead the Sharks to a win against the Devils on Thursday night.
