NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College volleyball team hosted the semifinals of the Region 11-A Tournament Saturday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Hawks fell in the playoff match by a final score of 3-2 in five sets.

Northeast earned the right to host the showdown after securing the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Hawks and Blackhawks traded points all afternoon as the set scores were 25-21, 27-25, 26-24, 25-15 and 15-12.

Izabel Hollatz led the way in assists for Northeast with 27 while Daveigh Munter-McAfee recorded 23 digs.

The Hawks finished the year with a14-18 overall record, a 9-3 record in conference play and a record of 6-3 at home.
