Yeah Lewis, let’s put a cap on all of this because the caps didn’t really show up in this game until the 3rd period, and then all of a sudden you saw when Alexander Ovechkin gets his goal, the first one of this series for him, the Canes have basically frustrated him a lot. We saw that in the. with him. What have they done to keep him in check? They’ve been so defensively tight, and when you’re not allowing the best goal scorer of all time to even get great opportunities, it’s going to be frustrating. And when he has had those opportunities, Freddy Anderson has absolutely slammed the door in his face, and you can see the frus frustration building. In the Eastern Conference champions in the Washington Capitals, and for the Carolina Hurricanes, that’s a positive. You can look across onto that bench. You can see heads down, you can see arguing going on amongst the players. You have them in a very good position, but now you must go to Washington and finish the job off. I have to bring this up. Ovechkin had that chase for Wayne Gretzky towards the end of the season. And the caps look like they were on top of the world right now. They look flat. Do you think the two have anything to do with each other? There could be a little bit of coincidence in that because they put everything into making sure Alex Ovechkin got that goal. Does getting through that and all that enthusiasm and the drop off happen when it comes to energy and all of those things? I think it is a little bit. But I’m going to go further on the side of how well the Carolina Hurricanes are playing because of their system, because of their pace, and how fast they’re playing in these games. I think they’re showing that they are the better team in this series. Really quickly, you know, the closeout games are the toughest. The Canes can close this thing out in Game 5, but it’s going to be in Washington. What do they need to do to make it? The Washington Capitals’ season is on the line, so you know going into that game that they’re going to give their best. They’re going to have the most desperation they can have to keep their season alive. For the Carolina Hurricanes, I’m going to go back to what Taylor Hall talked to me on the bench after the game about. You have to have a good start. You have to have a better start than you did. because the Capitals in the 1st 10 minutes were skating while they were getting chances. So come out in the opposing team’s building. There is no pressure on the Carolina Hurricanes. Get the first goal and get out running. We’ll see you guys here Thursday at 11:25 on WREL. We’ll see you have a good night and go.
