San Jose Sharks forward Michael Misa appeared to be on track to play his 8th game of the season.

That is now in question as the 2025 NHL Draft No. 2 overall pick left the Sharks’ morning skate early on Wednesday. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky told reporters that Misa is considered a game-time decision.

Warsofsky said he is still waiting for an update on the center’s status.

Misa was centering the San Jose Sharks’ third line with Ethan Cardwell and Jeff Skinner.

Adam Gaudette will return to the Sharks’ lineup after missing the past four games with an upper-body injury. Gaudette was placed on the right wing of the Sharks’ second line with Alexander Wennberg and Philipp Kurashev.

If Misa is forced to miss the game against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, the Sharks don’t have another forward to replace him in the lineup. Warsofsky could be forced to deploy a lineup consisting of 11F and 7D.

The Sharks used that lineup against the Detroit Red Wings.
