Ovechkin added yet another milestone on his illustrious hockey resume, scoring against St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington.

The 40-year-old scored his 900th goal during the second period of the Capitals’ 6-1 home win over the Blues.

The veteran Ovechkin intercepted a pass from Binnington before he backhanded a shot into the net, which pushed the record goal total to 900.

As the arena went into a frenzy and the Capitals celebrated with Ovechkin, Binnington could be seen tucking the milestone puck in his pants.

The St. Louis star looked like he thought he got away with it before officials quickly talked to him.

Binnington then got the puck out of his pocket and handed it to the linesperson.

After the game, the 2019 Stanley Cup champion didn’t speak to reporters.

Ovechkin did talk to the media, but didn’t open up about the goaltender’s potential attempt to steal the record-breaking puck.

“Yeah, I just saw it. I’m not going to comment,” Ovechkin said.

Ovechkin broke Wayne Gretzky’s career record with his 895th goal back in April.

He entered this season needing just three to reach 900.

Ovechkin is entering the final season of his contract.

It’s likely the 21-year veteran won’t score 1,000, so this could be the last round-number goal-scoring milestone for the three-time MVP.

But Ovechkin has 977 goals in the regular season and playoffs combined, which is second behind Gretzky, who has 1,016.
