Local hockey fans should mark their calendars, because the New York Ranger’s most accomplished goalie (and one of the greatest Rangers of all time) will be making an appearance in the Hudson Valley.
Henrik Lundqvist, who wore the Rangers uniform from 2005 until his retirement in 2020, put up some amazing statistics in his career. Now, Hudson Valley residents can thank “King Henrik” for his contributions to New York sports in person when he stops by Orange County, NY this weekend.

The Galleria at Crystal Run is celebrating the reopening of DICK’S Sporting Goods this weekend, starting with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, November 7th, with the first 100 guests through the doors on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday receiving a free mystery gift card. Fans looking to meet Henrik Lundqvist will need to wait until Saturday.

Henrik Lundqvist will be live at DICK’s Sporting Goods at the Galleria at Crystal Run on Saturday, November 8th from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wristbands will be required to meet Henrik, which will be distributed for free on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m.
Additional promotions include free soccer balls for the first 100 children in line on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, raffle prizes, and more. The Galleria at Crystal Run is located at 1 Galleria Drive in Middletown, NY. More information on the grand re-opening celebrations can be found here.
