The Montreal Canadiens, after a tight game last night, have decided to make a change to the lineup – and this move involves young Marc Del Gaizo.

The back-and-forth continues for Del Gaizo!

“The Canadiens have loaned defenseman Marc Del Gaizo to the Laval Rocket.”

I think he’ll get the chance to play more minutes and be used in important situations.

I’m certain the Canadiens want him to develop in a role where he can truly stand out.

Marc Del Gaizo returns to the Laval Rocket

In six games with the Rocket this season, he has recorded one assist and holds a +2 rating.

He was seen practicing in Brossard earlier this week:

Sometimes, returning to Laval isn’t a setback.

It’s more of an opportunity to play more, take on greater responsibility, and come back better prepared.

Several young Canadiens defensemen have taken the same path before earning their spot with the big club.

Progress rarely happens in a straight line.

It will be very interesting to watch the next call-up from the Montreal Canadiens if it isn’t Del Gaizo next time.

Of course, there’s David Reinbacher, who’s developing well and playing with more confidence. And also Adam Engstrom, who continues to impress in Laval.
