A sweep of a two-game round trip reversed the effects of last weekend’s back-to-back losses on home ice. The Flyers turned in two lackluster performances to end a five-game road trip.
The Flyers are back home on Saturday afternoon to take on the Ottawa Senators, looking to continue what they had on the brief road trip.
Game time is at 1 p.m.
Matvei Michkov picked up a huge goal in Thursday’s win over the Predators. Is this the start of the turnaround for his season? Time will tell, but his first chance to show it is on Saturday afternoon.
Drake Batherson had 11 points over a five-game points streak that was snapped in Ottawa’s last game on Thursday. He’s at five goals and 15 points on the season.
Sam Ersson is expected to get the start for the Flyers. Ersson was activated off IR on Thursday. His last start was on Oct. 28, a shootout win over the Penguins.
Linus Ullmark is expected to start for the Senators. Ullmark took the loss in overtime to the Bruins on Thursday, making 22 saves on 25 shots. Ullmark made 22 saves on 23 shots in a win over the Flyers on Oct. 23.
