The Canadiens and the Mammoth delivered an emotional game at the Bell Centre, with important goals and even a small funny moment near the bench from Oliver Kapanen.

Big win for our glorious ones last night!

The game had actually started more difficultly.

Utah had taken the lead and really seemed to control the pace.

However, the Canadiens never panicked.

The Montreal Canadiens found answers against the Utah Mammoth thanks to Cole Caufield

Cole Caufield scored two big goals, including an almost impossible shot from a tight angle.

It’s the kind of play almost no one else even tries.

Alex Newhook also made his presence felt, with a goal and an assist.

You could feel a calm team, playing together and knowing things would eventually open up.

Sam Montembeault was very solid, especially in the third period.

“I think that was our best third period of the year,” said Montembeault after the game.

And then there was the scene that made everyone laugh.

During a skirmish, Oliver Kapanen found himself on the edge of a brewing scrum.

Two Utah players were trying to shove him.

He slipped away to the bench, as if nothing was happening.

It was natural, a bit funny, very human, and it showed a player who understands the game.

He doesn’t need to fight to prove anything. He proves his value when the puck comes to him.

Kapanen had already scored earlier on a nice sequence with Ivan Demidov.

The Habs continue on a good run.

And honestly, that game could really give them a push moving forward.
