The game was still close early in the second period.
Then Alex Newhook changed the entire momentum.
His goal was spectacular.

You could see the chemistry and the pride.
It was natural and genuine.
And it clearly shows where Newhook is right now. I find he’s leading this line well and bringing a leadership presence to the two young rookies.
Therrien also highlights how Newhook drives offense on his own, not just through his linemates.
You can see it right away.
He arrives quickly with the puck.
He creates his plays on his own.
To me, this is the Newhook we were waiting for. He knows what he’s worth, and he wants to show it every night.
