Another close call on home ice for the Flyers left a point unclaimed. A pair of overtime losses extended the Flyers’ home losing streak to four games. It could be a perfect time, then, to hit the road.
The Flyers head to the Midwest for a weekend back-to-back. It starts on Friday night against the St. Louis Blues.
Game time is at 8 p.m.
Travis Konecny picked up an assist on the Flyers’ lone goal on Wednesday to extend his points streak to eight games. He nearly had another point with the deflection on the game-winning goal, which was ultimately called back for offside. Konecny is up to 14 points on the season, and has 10 points on the current points streak.
Jordan Kyrou had an eight-game points streak of his own earlier in the season, but has struggled mightily in games since. He has just one point in the last six games, a goal against Seattle on Saturday.
Sam Ersson gets the start for the Flyers. Ersson made 11 saves on 14 shots in his last start, an overtime loss to Ottawa on Saturday.
Jordan Bennington gets the start for St. Louis. Binnington picked up the win in his last start, making 38 saves on 40 shots against the Calgary Flames. He has wins in two of his last three starts after a personal five-game losing streak.
