The Boston Bruins have been on a roll as of late, winning eight of their last nine games to shoot all the way to first place in the Atlantic Division. Making that run even more impressive is the fact that they have been without their top center, Elias Lindholm, for much of it due to an injury.
Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury in the Bruins’ 4-3 overtime victory over the Buffalo Sabres back on Oct. 30, and he hasn’t suited up for a game since then. Boston placed Lindholm on injured reserve shortly after, indicating that the team expected him to miss several games.
The Swedish star has been making progress in his quest to get back into the action, and he took a big step by taking the ice with the team for its morning skate on Monday. However, Lindholm was not part of the B’s rushes, indicating that he won’t be suiting up against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night.
“The Bruins will have a challenge on their hands tonight. Elias Lindholm is skating but not in rushes. Could bode well for him traveling on west coast trip,” Steve Conroy of The Boston Herald shared in a post on X.
Through his first 13 games, Lindholm enjoyed a strong start to the 2025-26 campaign, racking up four goals and five assists. Boston has excelled during his absence, but the team would still gladly welcome him back as soon as he’s ready.

With a trip out west looming after the team’s clash with the Hurricanes, Lindholm could conceivably make a return to action during that upcoming three-game stretch. For now, the Bruins will be looking to earn another win, as puck drop for their clash with the Canes is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
