Winnipeg Jets News Roundup – Nov. 17, 2025
The Winnipeg Jets practiced at Canada Life Centre today for the first time in a while after returning from their six-game road trip, and despite it not being a game day, there was plenty of news around the organization.Jets activate Barron and Koepke from injured reserve
Winnipeg is nearing full health again as the team activated forwards Morgan Barron and Cole Koepke from injured reserve. With their return, Haydn Fleury, currently in concussion protocol, is the lone Jet remaining on IR.
Chibrikov, Ford, Lambert assigned to Moose
The team also announced that forwards Nikita Chibrikov, Parker Ford, and Brad Lambert have been assigned to the Manitoba Moose. With Barron and Koepke returning, the Jets needed to open up roster spots, and with Fleury still sidelined, at least two forwards had to be sent down.
TRANSACTIONS: The #NHLJets have activated forwards Morgan Barron and Cole Koepke from injured reserve. The Jets have also loaned forwards Nikita Chibrikov, Parker Ford, and Brad Lambert to the Manitoba Moose (AHL).
No Hellebuyck at practice, Hutchinson makes an appearance
This afternoon’s skate did not include star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. Filling in was a familiar face: former Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson, who suited up and took part in the session while catching up with some old teammates. Hutchinson last appeared for the Jets during the 2017-18 season, so it’s been quite a while since he’s been seen the former Jet.
That’s all from Jets practice today. Winnipeg is back in action tomorrow night with a much healthier lineup as they take on the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets for the first time this season. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. on TSN3.
