NFL Week 11 picks include Bills, Texans and Cowboys
Lorenzo Reyes shares his predictions and best bets ahead of Week 11.
The Dallas Cowboys season hangs in a precarious position as they go into a Monday Night Football clash of the titans against the similarly bereft Las Vegas Raiders.
If Dallas wins, it can harbor playoff hopes as it hits the toughest stretch of schedule any team in the NFL has in the next month. Lose and the Cowboys can improve their draft position, which looks increasingly good.
Remember when they had Micah Parsons? Amazingly (not really), Micah Parsons’ Dallas Cowboys jerseys in a color they never wear are quite discounted. Here’s what’s going on.
DaMarvion Overshown
Cowboys fans who want something to get excited about can watch the return of linebacker DeMarvion Overshown. The third-year pro, a third-round draft pick out of the University of Texas in 2023, has been promising when he’s been healthy.
That hasn’t been since last year, when he blew out his knee in every way possible in Week 14 against Cincinnati. He’s back now and can only help the Dallas defense.
Dallas Cowboys game tonight
After a two-week break, Dallas returns to action on Monday Night Football when it takes on the Las Vegas Raiders. The game in Las Vegas kicks off at 6:15 p.m. MT/7:15 p.m. CT on both ABC and ESPN.
Dallas Cowboys black jersey
Dallas doesn’t wear black often, but you can. There are many options, in many prices, of black Dallas Cowboys jerseys. Proimagesports has a Micah Parsons black Dallas Cowboys jersey that once was $129.99 but, for rather obvious reasons, is now $29.99. On their website, they go to great lengths to cross out the big price.
Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks
Dallas has three quarterbacks on the roster. Dak Prescott is one of the better quarterbacks in the league. His backup, Joe Milton III, was poor in the preseason but has been good in limited action this year.
Will Grier is the third-team quarterback. If he is in, matters are going poorly.
Dallas Cowboys playoff chances
While the consensus is that Dallas has a 5-8% chance of making the playoffs, actual odds on online sites such as BetMGM are +900, which means 9-1, or about 11%. FoxSports has odds of +4000 to win the NFC East (40-1) and +30000 to win the Super Bowl (300-1).
Dallas Cowboys wins and losses
Dallas has three wins, all against bad teams (the New York Jets and Giants and the injury-riddled Washington Commanders), five losses and a tie to the Green Bay Packers.
To summarize, 3-5-1.
Jerry Jones
The Cowboys owner and general manager is permanently in the news, and he has now weighed in on the future of the Dallas Stars. Both the Dallas Mavericks and Stars are pondering their future locations as their leases with American Airlines end somewhat soon (’30 for the Stars, ’31 for the Mavericks).
What the Cowboys, Stars and Mavericks all have on common is that they have corporate headquarters in Frisco and there have been rumors that the Stars and Cowboys could go in together to build an arena that would host the Stars, and that the Cowboys could use for practices.
Jones said those talks aren’t happening in a discourse that doesn’t make over-much sense. It was reported in the Dallas Morning News.
“No, we have not. We have not at all,” Jones said on a radio appearance Friday on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM). “It doesn’t surprise me that you could have some issues, especially under the dynamics of where you might be thinking about a new stadium. That’s bound to create some angst that has to be worked through.
“I know, of course, all of the entities that are involved there can easily see … you have to really be coordinated for two sports teams to share a common arena or common stadium, and it takes an extra team player to be a part of that,” Jones said.
“We have two situations in the NFL where the Rams and Chargers share a stadium, and then we have the Jets and Giants, and those guys really have to work in sync.”
So, that.
Dallas Cowboys standings
As poorly as it has all gone this year, the Cowboys are in second place in the NFC East. Here are the NFC East standings.
Philadelphia Eagles 7-2
Dallas Cowboys 3-5-1
Washington Commanders 3-8
New York Giants 2-9

Jason Garrett
The former Dallas Cowboys coach, now a commentator for NBC’s Sunday Night Football desk, was recently on the Dan Patrick Show and asked whether he has any interest in coaching again.
He used a lot of words to say little, which, in its own way, says a lot. It was related in the Cowboys blog The Landry Hat.
“Uh, you know, I love the job I’m in right now. I really do,” Garrett said.
Patrick then asked if Garrett was interested in coaching.
“Well, let me answer it this way. I love the job I’m in. I’m really fortunate. But I was really fortunate to play for a long time and coach for a long time and I can say this to you honestly that I’ve loved every part of it. I love coaching football. I loved to be a position coach, a coordinator, and a head coach. So, you know, if that opportunity presents itself in a way that seems like it’s attractive, sure, I’d look at it.”
