For the second time this season, the Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames will do battle. After a 4-0 win in Calgary for the Hawks earlier in November, they look to repeat that performance on Tuesday.

The Chicago Blackhawks are truly home for the holidays, with eight of nine games, beginning last Wednesday, at the United Center in November. Tuesday marks another opportunity to continue their point streak with the lowly Calgary Flames paying a visit.

Notably, captain Nick Foligno was placed on injured reserve on Monday with a hand injury. His leadership will be missed, but the team’s youth will be firmly in the spotlight during his four-week absence.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Calgary Flames Preview

The Flames walk into the United Center sitting firmly in the basement of the Western Conference and league as a whole. Despite the tough start, the Flames are not a team to be taken lightly. Young talent like Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee are key pieces for the present and future, and veterans Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau are still playing well. With that much talent, the Blackhawks know they cannot take the Flames lightly.

This will be the second matchup between the two clubs this season. Last time out, Connor Bedard posted four points in the Hawks’ 4-0 victory in Calgary. Spencer Knight was equally impressive in the victory, helping right the ship on their west coast road trip. The Blackhawks are looking to replicate that performance from early November on Tuesday night.
