The newest professional sports team in Seattle, the Professional Women Hockey League’s Seattle Torrent, will have a home on local TV.
Seattle Torrent announced as PWHL expansion team’s name
The Torrent announced Tuesday morning that the majority of their games will air on FOX 13+, along with an additional six games on KONG. Both are free over-the-air TV channels available with a digital antenna.

The PWHL is adding the Torrent and the Vancouver Goldeneyes this season as expansion franchises, pushing the number of teams in the league to eight. They are the league’s first two teams located east of Minneapolis. The 2025-26 season will be the third in the league’s history.

The Torrent will play 30 regular season games, including 13 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
The inaugural game for the Torrent will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Vancouver and air on KONG.
The Torrent’s first home game will be next Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. against the Minnesota Frost, with the TV broadcast on FOX 13+.
