In a press conference after last night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Juraj Slafkovsky commented on a decision made by Martin St-Louis.

After the game, Slafkovsky was asked to comment on that change, especially since he showed some good things with the young Demidov.

The young forward didn’t want to show a preference between playing with Suzuki/Caufield or with Kapanen/Demidov.

Juraj Slafkovsky tonight on playing alongside Oliver Kapanen & Ivan Demidov:

“It’s up to Marty, what he’s gonna do, how he’s gonna play us. It’s good to know that we have a good chemistry between each other. We’re skilled enough guys that we can play with anyone.”

The ball is now in Martin St-Louis’ court!

And if it were your decision, would you give Slafkovsky more ice time with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, or with Oliver Kapanen and Ivan Demidov?

Juraj Slafkovsky, 21, has 9 points in 19 games this season, including 6 goals, with a +6 rating.

He’s not having a bad start to the season, far from it, but he’s still taking some time to truly hit the next level (in my humble opinion).
