The New York Rangers are facing off against the Florida Panthers in Miami for the 2026 NHL Winter Classic and both teams’ jerseys for the game were revealed by the NHL and Fanatics on Nov. 19.

It’s the Rangers’ third Winter Classic after appearances in 2018 at Citi Field and 2012 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. It will also mark the sixth outdoor game the Rangers have played since the NHL began regular-season outdoor games in 2003. The team has won all five outdoor games they have played.

Here’s what to know about the special sweaters.

What do the Rangers’ 2026 Winter Classic jerseys look like?

In continuation of the team’s Centennial celebration, senior creative director and vice president of design at Fanatics, Dom Fillion, modeled the Rangers’ Winter Classic jerseys after their current Centennial jerseys being worn this season, according to NHL.com.

The Winter Classic jerseys, however, are predominantly white with blue and red stripes on the sleeves and bottom of the sweater. “New York” is written diagonally across the front in blue lettering and “NYR” is outlined by a red apple on the left shoulder.

“We always keep in mind the setting, the environment, the stage,” Fillion told NHL.com. “And ultimately, we want each team to feel unique and respectful to their brand, their identity, their history and heritage.”

How you can get a Rangers 2026 Winter Classic jersey

The Winter Classic jerseys will be available starting Thursday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. EST through Fanatics, the Rangers team store and the flagship NHL Shop in New York City.

The 2026 NHL Winter Classic will take place at loanDepot Park in Miami, home of the MLB’s Miami Marlins, on Jan. 2, 2025 at 8 p.m. EST. It’s the first outdoor NHL game in the state of Florida and the southernmost one in league history.
