As the NHL season continues, teams are now gearing up for the upcoming trade deadline next spring. One organization that will have multiple teams watching them closely is the Nashville Predators.
Nashville has a few players who could be moved at the trade deadline, including veteran star Steven Stamkos. Teams across the league have wondered what the future holds for Stamkos, and he could draw significant interest on the trade front.
Even at his age, Stamkos has continued to impress and could be one of the bigger names moved at the trade deadline. In 20 games played this season, Stamkos has put up four goals and one assist for the Predators.
Last year, he put together a very nice season, scoring 27 goals and having 26 assists in 82 games played. It remains to be seen if Stamkos will be moved, but Nashville will need to make a decision soon on his future.
This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Steven Stamkos Traded to Carolina Hurricanes
As the Predators try to figure out the path forward with some of the veterans, like Stamkos, the idea of moving him has grown louder. Nashville could likely land some solid assets for the former All-Star, and it may set them up nicely down the line.
One team that could make a play for Stamkos is the Carolina Hurricanes, who already have a strong roster. However, this team still has plenty of cap space to work with, and it could see them being aggressive on the trade front.
Carolina fell short in the Eastern Conference Final again last season, and this team has been out to make sure that it doesn’t happen again this year. Adding a player like Stamkos to the roster could help things, and he would bring an extra level of scoring to the mix.
The Hurricanes also have a ton of draft picks and prospects to work with in a trade, making them a logical partner to get a deal done. Carolina is also a Stanley Cup title contender, so Stamkos would likely welcome the move to the team.
Stamkos understands what it takes to win a title, having done so while with the Tampa Bay Lightning years ago. Carolona could land his leadership for the locker room, and this could be a mutually beneficial type of move.
The tricky part with a deal would be where to fit Stamkos into their lineup since all the lines are essentially filled up. But having the chance to land a player like Stamkos doesn’t always come around, so Carolina would find a way to make things work.
If the veteran were to accept a role on the second or third line, it could create an incredibly lethal offensive attack for the Hurricanes. Carolina wants to win a title this season, and if they were to bring Stamkos in, they would be one of the favorites to make it happen.
