The Detroit Red Wings finish up their brief homestand on Saturday afternoon against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Red Wings are hoping they can continue their winning ways against a former Central Division rival. After a couple of tough results in their most recent homestand, losing three out of four at Little Caesars Arena, Detroit looked to turn things around in the current stretch of matchups in Hockeytown. After coming away with a spirited win over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, the Wings posted a strong effort on Tuesday night against the Seattle Kraken.
However, the good times could not last. The Wings put up a stinker against the New York Islanders on Thursday, getting shut out in a 5-0 loss.
Now, they look to get back on the winning track against a Blue Jackets team that is feeling rather good after pulling out a shootout win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday.
