Logan Mailloux is getting another opportunity in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, but it remains to be seen whether he can truly establish himself there.

It’s news that could change quite a bit for him. The young defenseman Logan Mailloux is heading back up to the National Hockey League.

“St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have recalled defenseman Logan Mailloux from their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.”

That means the organization is giving him another chance to prove he belongs at the highest level.

A short AHL stint that got the job done

As many pointed out, the plan seemed clear: five games in the AHL to get his rhythm back, then an immediate return to the Blues.

This won’t be his first time playing with the Blues this season, as he already has nine games under his belt.

In my opinion, he’s still learning to manage NHL speed and demands, but he’s already showing he can keep up and that he deserves to be there.

In his young career, he has already collected five points in 17 games, which is quite encouraging for a 22-year-old defenseman who is still developing.

If he keeps things simple, plays with confidence, and makes the most of his opportunity, things could go well for him moving forward.
