The Ottawa Senators make the team’s one and only visit to SAP Center this season, and it marks Fabian Zetterlund’s first game back in San Jose since he was traded on March 7, 2025. Zetterlund spoke to the media on Friday about what he missed the most about San Jose, and his answer, as posted by San Jose Hockey Digest’s Max Miller, is heartbreaking.

That’s William Eklund, with whom Zetterlund formed a solid bond during his time in San Jose. Zetterlund isn’t having an easy go of it with the Senators this season. He has one goal and three assists in 20 games and is averaging just 14:12 per game. That’s definitely not what the Senators were hoping for when the team signed him to a three-year, $4.275 million deal in the offseason.
Ottawa is 10-6-4 this season and currently sit in fourth in the Atlantic Division. Of the two Eastern Conference teams, the Atlantic is weaker, however, and so Ottawa is on the outside of the playoff picture, looking in at the moment. It’s third in the wildcard race.
The Senators are led by Tim Stützle and Drake Batherson, who both have 19 points in 20 games. Stützle shares the team’s goals lead with Shane Pinto. Both players have ten goals apiece. In the net, Linus Ullmark is the top guy for the Senators. He has a 7-5-4 record with 3.01 goals against and a .877 save percentage.

How to watch Ottawa Senators at San Jose Sharks Nov. 22, 2025
The puck drops at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET at SAP Center in San Jose.
Sharks fans can watch the game on NBCSCA or listen on the Sharks Audio Network.
Senators fans can watch the game on SportsNet 1 or listen on TSN 1200 (English), 104.7 Outaouais (French).
You can also come back here at game time to join other Sharks fans to talk about what’s happening on the ice and around the league. I hear it’s a sold out game, so if you can’t be at the game, this is the next best place to be.
