St. Louis Blues executive Peter Chiarelli was at the Toronto Maple Leafs-Montreal Canadiens game on Saturday, which has led to some trade rumors.

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is being pressured to make a trade right now, as the team has lost seven of its last eight games.

Toronto Maple Leafs trade rumors never die

This time around, only two teams were in attendance, although they were the big dogs. Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin was there, although we imagine he was doing Olympic scouting.

Meanwhile, St. Louis Blues vice president of hockey operations Peter Chiarelli was also in attendance. Based on what we know about the Leafs, this appearance seems to be more of an indication of a future deal.

The Blues possess players like Jordan Kyrou and Brayden Schenn, who are reportedly being shopped around right now, as the Blues struggle in the early going of the season.

Schenn is a player that the Toronto Maple Leafs wanted to trade for last season, although the center was not willing to make the move.

Meanwhile, Kyrou is a player that the Leafs could use right now, when you consider how the team has been unable to get very much speed going.

Whether or not the Leafs make a trade still remains to be seen. At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs don’t have a ton of assets to make a deal a reality.

Instead, many are wondering if Brad Treliving’s job is in jeopardy, or if the team may part ways with their head coach, Craig Berube.
