Edmonton Oilers News & Notes:

The Oilers end their seven-game road trip tonight against the team that’s beaten in two straight Stanley Cup Final appearances. They’re looking to end the trip on a high note after losing three games in a row.

Florida Panthers News & Notes:

The back-to-back Stanley Cup champions are 12th in the Eastern Conference, but are also just one point out of a Wild Card spot. The Panthers have been without Matthew Tkachuk, who could be back next month, and without Aleksander Barkov, who is expected to miss the entire season, including the Playoffs.

Players To Watch:

Buffalo Sabres

Last week, Brad Marchand became the 102nd NHL player to put up 1000 career points. He also currently leads his team in points this season with 23 in their opening 19 games.

Edmonton Oilers

Stuart Skinner is Edmonton’s #1 goalie, but has 9 goals in his last two starts. Calvin Pickard is the backup, and has even worse stats this season, but played a solid game the other night, making 33 saves in a losing effort. Whoever is between the pipes for the Oilers tonight, they look to keep bouncing back against Sergei Bobrovsky on the other end, who has not had been statistically great so far, either.
