Regardless of how they do it, the Vegas Golden Knights are continuing to pick up points at the right time.

On Monday, the Golden Knights look to keep a six-game point streak going when they return to Delta Center for the second time in five days to take on the Utah Mammoth.

The Mammoth will be hoping to exact revenge on the Golden Knights for the last time the two teams faced off, when Vegas skated away with a 4-1 victory on Nov. 20. Coming off a win in their last game against the New York Rangers, the Mammoth now aim to get their season back on the right track.

Meanwhile, here is how the Golden Knights can continue to stack up the points before Thanksgiving.

In overtime, an egregious turnover from Mitch Marner allowed Cutter Gauthier to give the Ducks the win. It has been an issue that has cost the Golden Knights games, and there’s been enough of a sample size to suggest it is a serious problem. Whether it requires better on-ice communication or keeping play in front of the puck, the team needs to start showing greater responsibility with the puck to avoid having to settle for one point instead of two.

Fortunately for the Golden Knights, Jack Eichel has started to heat up again on the road trip.

While players like Braeden Bowman, Shea Theodore and Tomas Hertl have all had excellent stretches of play, the Golden Knights are just a different team when Eichel is playing at the level he is. In the two games on the current road trip, Eichel has already scored five points, including two goals against the Mammoth in their last encounter. The Golden Knights will hope to keep their superstar hot heading into another homestand, so expect the puck to head in Eichel’s direction whenever the opportunity arises.

The Golden Knights played arguably their best 60-minute effort of the season against the Mammoth, something the home team is not going to take lying down.

The previous game showed that the Mammoth are not afraid to ramp up the physicality when things are not going their way, and their eighth-ranked penalty kill only adds to that willingness. If the Golden Knights pounce like they did last time, do not be surprised if tempers flare once again and the temperature slowly begins to rise on the ice. While Vegas does not want to get pushed around, playing smart and capitalizing on any reckless moments from the Mammoth could prove fortuitous.
