“I try not to look at it. I think we just try to focus on playing and try to stay in the present. You know, I love it here and I love this group here, and I just want to continue to take it day by day. That stuff will sort itself out. I’m just focused on trying to have a good road trip here and get a couple of wins.”
“I guess it’s just part of the gig. You’ve got to be professional and you have a job to go play. You try to have a good mindset through it all. Life and hockey are a mental game, so you try to focus on what you can control. And the two things I always go back to are your attitude and your work ethic, so I try to focus on those.”
“I’m just grateful for the opportunity they gave me. When I signed here, I felt like it was a good opportunity for me to grow, and I’m very thankful for every opportunity that management, the team and the coaching staff have given me. That (contract) stuff, I always say, usually takes care of itself. Obviously, it’s a business from their end, so it’s not a surprise. But, you know, I’m just trying to focus on helping this team turn it around here and try to get back into the playoff picture.”
