Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has entered some elite company in the franchise’s 55-year history after picking up a goal during Friday’s loss to San Jose.
“Brock has been a huge part of our organization, and we are extremely happy to have him back in the fold. He has scored some big goals for our hockey club and has established himself as a very dangerous offensive player. Brock is a leader and culture setter in our locker room, and we’re confident he will continue to play an important role for our team moving forward doing great work both on and off the ice.” GM Patrik Allvin said back in July.
With his new seven year contract, Boeser has an opportunity to cement himself in Vancouver Canucks history before his career wraps up and on Friday, he took a big step on his way to becoming one of the best this franchise has ever seen.

During Friday afternoon’s game against the San Jose Sharks, Brock Boeser opened the scoring for the Canucks early in the first period, giving himself his ninth of the season and 213th of his career.
“BROCKSTAR 🤩
Boeser opens the scoring for the Canucks!”
By picking up that goal yesterday, the Burnsville, Minnesota native passed Todd Bertuzzi for tenth place on the Vancouver Canucks’ all-time points list with 450 in 577 career games.
“Among the Boes in #Canucks history.
Brock is now 10th all-time in franchise points with 450. 👏” the Canucks said on X.
Without a doubt, the Vancouver Canucks made the right decision to circle back on Brock Boeser and sign him to a long-term deal given how important he is to the organization both now and in the future as they look to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in the always competitive Pacific Division.
By the time his seven-year contract concludes, if he’s here for the entirety of the deal, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Brock Boeser is able to find his way into the top-three in franchise history as he needs just 234 points to pass Stan Smyl for fifth place and 307 to take over third place from Markus Naslund who had 756 points in 884 games as a Canuck.
