The St. Louis Blues and Los Angeles Kings today made a trade that would send forward Nikita Alexandrov from the Blues’ AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, to the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ AHL affiliate. The Blues are getting back forward Akil Thomas from the Kings, who was playing with the Reign, and will head to the Thunderbirds. Alexandrov was tied for the team lead on Springfield in points with 14 and led the team in assists with 11. He had three goals, was a minus-ten, and had one power-play goal. Thomas had 13 points on four goals and nine assists; he was a minus-five.

Nikita Alexandrov
The Blues drafted Alexandrov with the 62nd overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In 188 career AHL games, he has 143 points on 61 goals and 82 assists. He’s a +21 with 15 power-play goals and eight game-winning goals. In 23 career Calder Cup Playoff games, he has ten points on two goals and eight assists; he’s also a minus-two. In 51 career NHL games, he has nine points on three goals with six assists, and is minus-four.
Akil Thomas
The Kings drafted Thomas 51st overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In five seasons with the Reign, he’s played in 176 games, recording 106 points on 50 goals and 56 assists. He’s a -13 with 17 power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, and nine game-winning goals. In 13 career Calder Cup playoff games, he has ten points on seven goals and three assists. He’s a plus-two with two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and two game-winning goals. In 32 career NHL games, he has seven points on four goals with three assists, and he is minus-four.
