New York, NY (WRGB) — 11-year-old Finn Keaney of Cairo, NY was granted the Make-A-Wish Honorary Rangers Player for their matchup against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday Night.
According to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Finn has cystic fibrosis, and his wish was to be signed on as a New York Rangers Player for a day.
Prior to the game, Finn was joined by Rangers legend Adam Graves to sign his ceremonial contract. He then joined the team on the ice while the lineup was announced and served as the honorary goalie starter.
Finn was honored as a part of the Garden of Dreams Week, which raises funds in support of the Garden of Dreams mission to provide life-changing opportunities to young people facing obstacles.
