The Detroit Red Wings are at a major advantage when they take the ice against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, as they will be without forward David Pastrnak, according to head coach Marco Sturm.
On Tuesday, the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings match up again for the 2nd game in a row. The team is 2nd in the Atlantic Division, a coveted spot by the Detroit Red Wings.
According to the Boston Bruins Head Coach, Marco Sturm, Pastrnak will be sidelined and won’t be traveling to Little Caesars Arena with the team.
With a record of 15-12-0, they’re one of the best teams in the Atlantic at the moment in a tight Eastern Conference race for the playoffs.
This will be the third game Pastrnak has missed despite being given a day-to-day status by the team.
Before he was injured, Pastrnak had been in a goal-scoring slump, offering only 5 assists and 19 shots in six games.

Without their top superstar in the lineup, the Bruins will be missing firepower in the lineup.
The Red Wings could use this matchup to improve their record of 8-6-1 at home while course-correcting after an ongoing four-game slump that has seen the team lose to the Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and New Jersey Devils.
The Bruins have given up just four goals in their last six games, with a record of 2-2-0 in their last four.
It’s time for the Red Wings to think strategically and pull off a massive win against the Boston Bruins on home ice.
