The Chicago Blackhawks look to grab another win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night, as Connor Bedard and company look to stay in the Stanley Cup Playoff race.
These two teams faced off in Hollywood on Thursday night. Bedard and Wyatt Kaiser found the back of the net for the Blackhawks, while Spencer Knight was sensational in goal once again, snagging a 2-1 victory.
Bedard now has 38 points so far this season, placing him third in the league behind San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini and Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon. While the Hawks do not necessarily live or die with Bedard, the playmaker’s ability to be a game-changer has been noticeable this year.
Following the win over the Kings, the Hawks currently sit fourth in the Central Division, holding on to the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
While many around the NHL might not know, the Kings are looking like a tough team to beat once again. With this being Anze Kopitar’s final season, the team wants to make an honest run in the postseason. After losing to the Hawks, L.A. remains third in the Pacific Division.
