Metsa was recalled from AHL Rochester on Sunday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.
The Sabres assigned Noah Ostlund to the minors in a corresponding move. Metsa’s recall provides Buffalo with a sixth defenseman ahead of Monday’s road game against Calgary, but it’s unclear if he will get a chance to play.
