The rumor mill has been spinning about Quinn Hughes and the New Jersey Devils today. I have been receiving texts all morning asking if the “Brothers Reunion” is finally happening.

I have been working the phones on this one, and I just spoke directly to a top ranking source inside the Devils organization who stopped me in my tracks.

I was told in no uncertain terms by a very top source within the devils organization that there is no Quinn Hughes trade coming tonight and I got the impression we’re still quite a ways away from anything like that.

That said, I’m hearing despite Quinn’s hope of reuniting with his brothers, the Canucks are opening up the trade market to 30 other teams. Letting teams know if you want Quinn for 2 playoff runs, now is your chance. 

With the holiday roster freeze just over a week away, don’t be surprised if this heats up and fast.
