Coach Martin St. Louis will once again turn to Jakub Dobes in goal for the Montreal Canadiens (15-10-3) when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning (16-10-2) on Tuesday night at the Bell Centre.

Puck drop at 7 p.m. (TSN2, RDS, TSN Radio 690, 98.5 FM).

Here’s what you need to know:

Dobes has never started four straight games in his NHL career. He has also started nine of the team’s last 11 games.

No other lineup changes are expected.

Just one point separates the teams in the Atlantic Division standings. Tampa Bay could take sole possession atop the divisional standings with a win.

The Lightning enter the game having been shut out their previous two contests.

Cole Caufield is riding an 11-game point streak. The forward has 31 points in 28 games.

Alexandre Texier has two points (and a shootout game winner) in six games since joining the Habs.

Note: Apologies to all our commenters over on the Hockey Inside Out YouTube channel. The plan was to do a livestream tonight, but I’ve come down with a cold. The livestreams will return on Thursday and Saturday.

In the meantime, follow this page for updates and game highlights throughout the night.

First period

After the Habs jumped out of the gate with five of the first seven shots in the first period, on Tampa’s third shot Brayden Point beat Jayden Struble outside before shooting one past Dobes’ blocker for the 1-0 lead less than three minutes in.

The Canadiens couldn’t convert on their power play, and as he exited the penalty box, Pontus Holmberg got a breakaway and he made no mistake, giving his club a 2-0 lead. Holmberg was a post away from his second of the night a little later in the first period.

The hole got deeper for the Habs in the first. Following a goalmouth scramble, Nikita Kucherov’s one-timer from a sharp angle beat Dobes to extend the Lightning lead to 3-0.

Second period

Dobes was pulled after allowing three goals on 15 shots. Samuel Montembeault entered the game at the start of the second.

It didn’t stop the bleeding. Rimouski native Charle-Edouard D’Astous was left alone in front and he slipped the puck under Montembeault for his third goal of the season. 4-0 Bolts.
