Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann has been suspended for one game for his high-sticking incident against Tampa Bay Lightning forward Oliver Bjorkstrand.
The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the divisional foe Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 last night, but the Leafs will be without a depth forward for their next game because of an incident that took place during the game.
Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann, who was ejected for high sticking Lightning forward Oliver Bjorkstrand, has been suspended for a game by the NHL Department of Player Safety.

That is a tough one. It really is. I have to look at it more closely, which I didn’t. From our view on the bench, I couldn’t really see it too well. I’ll take a look at it, but I had a tough time with that, to be honest with you.
So far this year, McMann has 14 points (8G, 6A).
Bobby McMann Was Ejected From Last Night’s Game Against The Lightning
McMann was ejected after he brought his stick down on Bjorkstrand’s shoulder area. The ruckus started after a knee on knee hit that resulted in an injury to Maple Leafs defenceman Dakota Mermis.
News was released that McMann would have a disciplinary hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety, who decided on the one game suspension; it’s the first suspension of McMann’s NHL career.
He will miss Thursday’s game at home against the San Jose Sharks.
