Entering Tuesday’s game, the Flyers had not lost back-to-back games in regulation since the first weekend of November. The bounce-back ability has been a key part to the Flyers remaining where they are in the standings.

Against the Sharks, they kept up that trend. The Flyers secured a 4-1 win to move to 2-2-0 on the six-game homestand at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

The Flyers got off to a fast start with shots on goal, taking the first nine of the game, but the first shot on goal of the night for the Sharks found the net for the game’s first goal.

Collin Graf finished off a nice passing play for his sixth of the season to make it 1-0 at 11:33.

With under two minutes to play, the Flyers tied the game as Travis Konecny made an aerial pass that made its way to Christian Dvorak for a breakaway. Dvorak finished for his seventh goal of the season at 18:39.

Through 20 minutes, shots were 16-3 Flyers.

Early in the second, the Flyers took the lead. A shot by Nick Seeler was deflected in by Carl Grundstrom, a former Sharks forward, for his first as a Flyer at 3:20.

In the final seconds of the period, the Flyers extended the lead to two. Noah Cates fired a shot home off the rush for his seventh of the season.

Through two periods, shots were 26-11 Flyers.

The Flyers locked things down in the third, capping things off with an empty-net goal by Konecny, his eighth of the season.

Dan Vladar made 17 saves on 18 shots in the win. Alex Nedeljkovic made 26 saves on 29 shots in the loss.

Konecny and Dvorak each had two points. Konecny’s assist on Dvorak’s goal was his 500th NHL point.

Ty Murchison made his NHL debut. Murchison played 14:56 and had one blocked shot and three hits in the game.

The Flyers are back on the ice on Thursday night to take on the Vegas Golden Knights at 7 p.m.
