The Detroit Red Wings’ full projected lineup and starting goaltender for Wednesday night’s game against the Calgary Flames have been confirmed.

Todd McLellan and the Detroit Red Wings are back in action tonight at the Saddledome Arena, home of the Calgary Flames, as they look to extend their winning streak to three games in the fourth outing of their six-game road trip.

As for the starting goaltender, John Gibson, who is coming off a 39-save shutout, was the most likely option to return between the pipes against the Calgary Flames tonight.

The Wings held an optional morning skate earlier today, and indeed, the same lineup that won against the Canucks will be back in action, and as for the goalie, John Gibson will get his third straight start.

Here is the full projected lineup:

“Emmitt Finnie – Dylan Larkin – Lucas Raymond
Alex DeBrincat – Andrew Copp – Patrick Kane
Michael Rasmussen – J.T. Compher – James van Riemsdyk
Elmer Soderblom – Marco Kasper – Nate Danielson

Simon Edvinsson – Moritz Seider
Ben Chiarot – Axel Sandin-Pellikka
Albert Johansson – Jacob Bernard-Docker

John Gibson
Cam Talbot”

With a win tonight, the Wings could get back to the top of the Atlantic Division standings.

“After about the 10-game mark, all teams are prepared. I think the star players have found their groove and the goaltending settles in, so it becomes real hockey.

That’s the phase we’re in now. Next target is Christmas. We have eight games left, so we’ll work hard to bank as many points as we can, then we’ll breathe for three days and it starts up again.”

As for the Flames, they mustn’t be taken lightly, as they seem to have finally found their groove after a tough start, winning seven of their last 10 games.
