Vince Dunn scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Seattle Kraken ended a six game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Los Angeles Wednesday.
After a scoreless first period, Seattle was on the power play 3-minutes into the second frame when another penalty COULD have been called on the Kings as the Kraken moved the puck around finding Jared McCann for a one-timer to put Seattle up 1-nothing.
A minute later, Seattle turned the puck over on the man advantage and allowed LA a shorthanded breakaway to tied the game at 1-1.
The game would remain tied into the third with the visitors constantly peppering Joey Daccord with shot after shot but the netminder was up to the challenge.
The Kings were on another power play with 5-minutes left in the game when Kevin Fialla gave LA a 2-1 lead.
Seattle emptied its net in the final minute, bringing an extra skater on the ice when Eeli Tolvanen was able to find Matty Beniers in front for the redirect and the game-tying goal.
The game would go to overtime with Seattle on the man advantage after a penalty on Los Angeles to make it 4-on-3. That’s when Vince Dunn came through with the game-winner with a one-timer.
