In a day of major National Hockey League moves, the Vancouver Canucks have officially entered the trade action with a blockbuster deal. They have reportedly traded star defenseman Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild.Â
This highly-anticipated move follows weeks of speculation and reported frustration from Hughes. While the trade does not reunite the Hughes brothers, it represents a significant shift in the power dynamic within the Western Conference.
The return for the Canucks is expected to net them Marco Rossi, a 1st round pick and other pieces.Â
Monster deal: Quinn Hughes traded to Minnesota for 2026 1st, Marco Rossi, Liam Ohgren and Zeev Buium.
