The Philadelphia Flyers (16-9-4) wrap up their homestand on Saturday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes (19-9-2) at Xfinity Mobile Arena. It is the first of two back-to-back meetings between the two teams, with the second on Sunday in Carolina.
The Flyers enter Saturday’s matchup after an overtime loss against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Since the six-game homestand kicked off in Philadelphia, the Flyers have gone 2-2-1, with the finale on Saturday.
Carolina comes to Philadelphia after back-to-back wins, including their shootout win vs. the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
The Hurricanes will provide the Flyers with yet another challenging fight. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. EST at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Things to watch
The Flyers have lost back-to-back games three times this season. Just once were there two regulation losses in a row. Philadelphia has done a good job of avoiding losing streaks this season. That will be tested on Saturday.
The Flyers’ lineup remains the same for the third straight game. That means Carl Grundstrom on the fourth line, and Ty Muchison on the third pair still. Grundstrom had another great game vs. Vegas and was even bumped up a spot to the third line. Since rejoining the team, he has two points (1G, 1A) in two games.
Muchison will get what could very well be his last game during this stint with the Flyers. Both Cam York and Rasmus Ristolainen will be going on the road with the Flyers, indicating their imminent return. That will likely conclude Murchison’s first stint in the NHL, unless he makes it a tough choice for the Flyers. He has been playing very well; let’s see what he can do on Saturday.
The only tweak to the lineup is that Sam Ersson gets the nod in goal. His last time out, Ersson had a solid start vs. Colorado. Can he pick up where he left off?
