The 2025-2026 season is through ten weeks. Colorado and Dallas are off to torrid starts, while Vancouver and Nashville are struggling for production. The league’s youth has stepped their production as San Jose’s Macklin Celebrini and Chicago’s Connor Bedard are ranked 3rd and 4th among league points leaders. Here are the NHL team power rankings heading into Week 11.
32. Vancouver Canucks
Vancouver is last in points, struggling at home, and starting its rebuilding. Last week, the Canucks traded captain defenseman Quinn Hughes to Minnesota for a package of players, including 2024 12th overall pick Zeev Buium and a 2026 first-round pick. Vancouver has officially started the hunt for the best odds for the 2026 number one draft pick.
31. Nashville Predators

Nashville continues its lack of production. The team ranks 30th in goals allowed per game and 27th in goals scored per game. The Predators are nearing the start of moving valuable pieces for draft assets.
30. Calgary Flames
The Flames have secured wins in six of their last ten games. The team’s streak of success is directly correlated to being ranked 13th in goals allowed per game. Calgary’s goaltenders are giving the team a chance to win, but scoring is an issue as the team ranks 32nd in goals scored per game.
29. Buffalo Sabres
The Atlantic Division has a nine-point differential between the top-ranked Tampa Bay Lightning and last-place Buffalo Sabres. There is time for Buffalo to make a run, but goaltending and defense have been an issue. On the season, the Buffalo ranks 28th in goals allowed per game.
28. St. Louis Blues
St. Louis’ struggles occur at home and on the road. The team is below .500 in away games and on home ice. The Blues rank 30th in goals scored per game and 29th in goals allowed per game.
27. Winnipeg Jets

The Jets are searching for their stride, but struggles on the road haven’t helped the cause. Scoring has come at a premium, and the team ranks 15th in goals scored per game. However, the team ranks 12th in power play percentage.
26. Seattle Kraken
Seattle has struggled over its last ten games. Most of the team’s struggles have come in the form of offense production, as their goaltending has ranked in the top half of the league. The Kraken must improve their 31st–ranked offense.
25. Ottawa Senators
Ottawa’s issues have stemmed from poor goaltending. The Senators rank 23rd in goals allowed per game, but 31st in penalty kill. Ottawa’s goaltenders must be better.
24. San Jose Sharks
The Sharks have received poor performances from their goaltenders and need offensive production outside of center Macklin Celebrini. San Jose ranks 21st in goals scored per game and 24th in goals allowed per game. The season will continue to have rough patches as 23-year-old goaltender Yaroslav Askarov continues to develop.
23. Utah Mammoth

Utah is starting to find its stride. December has seen an uptick in offensive production, and the team has a positive goal differential. The Mammoth must improve on the power play.
22. Columbus Blue Jackets
Simply put, Columbus struggles at home and on the road. This will never be a recipe for success. On the season, the team ranks 22nd in goals scored per game and 27th in goals allowed per game.
21. Edmonton Oilers
Edmonton is 3rd in goals scored per game and 26th in goals allowed per game. Needing to make a change at goaltender, the team traded Stuart Skinner to Pittsburgh for Tristan Jarry. Jarry is an instant upgrade for the Oilers.
20. Chicago Blackhawks
Chicago continues its hunt to break a five-year playoff drought. The team has played well through 10 weeks, with center Connor Bedard leading the way. The Blackhawks rank 23rd in goals scored per game and 15th in goals allowed per game.
19. Florida Panthers

Florida is nearing a breakout. The team’s quiet start is starting to change direction. The Panthers’ offense has picked up the pace and ranks 12th in goals scored per game.
18. Toronto Maple Leafs
Toronto ranks 6th in goals scored per game and 22nd in goals allowed per game. The team’s main issue is goaltending production. Once Toronto’s goaltenders improve, the team will start their ascent in the standings.
17. Montreal Canadiens
Montreal continues to be carried by the league’s 10th–ranked offense. However, its goaltenders rank 31st in goals allowed per game. The front office must decide on patience or making a move for a veteran goaltender.
16. New York Rangers
The Rangers are nearly unbeatable on the road, but struggle on home ice. They must find a way to win at home. On the season, New York ranks 29th in goals scored per game and 7th in goals allowed per game.
15. New Jersey Devils

New Jersey has played better than expected, but struggles are starting to occur. The team ranks 20th in goals scored per game and 19th in goals allowed per game. The Devils are mediocre across the board.
14. Philadelphia Flyers
Philadelphia continues to improve on a weekly basis. Over its last ten games, the team has added points to the division standings. The Flyers rank 22nd in goals scored per game and 9th in goals allowed per game.
13. Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins have hit a rough patch, but receive production from the league’s 11th–ranked offense and 12th–ranked goaltending. Pittsburgh needs more production from its younger defensemen. Erik Karlsson and Kris Letang lead Penguins defensemen, but are 35 and 38, respectively.
12. Los Angeles Kings
Los Angeles is fighting for the lead in the Pacific Division, but are 4-6-4 at home and 10-2-5 on the road. The Kings must find a way to win on home ice, especially with their downward trend in goalscoring. The Kings rank 28th in goals scored per game.
11. Boston Bruins
Boston has gone on a run in its last 10 games. The team’s success is directly correlated to ranking 7th in goals scored per game. Boston’s offense has been one of the league’s best in power-play percentage, ranked 5th in the NHL.
10. Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay sits atop the Atlantic Division and looks to increase production on home ice. The team continues to be carried by its goaltending, which ranks 4th in goals allowed per game. The Lightning are working to improve their offense which ranks 9th in goals scored per game.
9. Detroit Red Wings
Detroit has improved each week, and the team’s 39 points are tied with Tampa Bay for the most in the Atlantic Division. The Red Wings need to improve their goaltending, which ranks 21st in goals allowed per game. Goaltending improvements will increase penalty kill production, which ranks 18th in the NHL.
8. New York Islanders
The Islanders are one of the league’s hottest teams and are on Carolina’s heels. New York’s goaltending tandem of Ilya Sorokin and David Rittich rank 8th in goals allowed per game. If the Islanders can improve on the league’s 19th–ranked offense, they will continue to compete for the Metropolitan Division.
7. Minnesota Wild
Minnesota continues to be one of the NHL’s best teams. They are third in the Central Division that features Colorado and Dallas. The front office, looking to keep pace with the Avalanche and Stars, made a big splash by acquiring defenseman Quinn Hughes from Vancouver.
6. Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas is leading the Pacific Division and shows no signs of slowing down. The Golden Knights rank 10th in goals allowed per game and 16th in goals scored per game. It’s only a matter of time before Vegas’ offense goes on a hot streak.
5. Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes are one of the league’s best teams and have a winning recipe for winning at home and on the road. Carolina ranks 5th in goals scored per game and 10th in goals allowed per game. The team’s offense will have them in playoff contention throughout the season.
4. Anaheim Ducks
Anaheim’s offense continues to raise eyebrows. The Ducks rank 2nd in goals scored per game. The one knock against Anaheim is its goaltending. The team ranks 25th in goals allowed per game.
3. Washington Capitals

Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals are starting to find their stride. The team is being led by its goaltenders, who rank 2nd in goals allowed per game. Washington’s offense continues to improve and ranks 4th in goals scored per game.
2. Dallas Stars
Dallas’ production continues, and they are staying on par with Colorado. The Stars rank 8th in goals scored per game and 6th in goals allowed per game. Dallas will be actively looking to acquire a forward to help ease the pain of losing Tyler Seguin for the season.
1. Colorado Avalanche
Colorado has yet to show signs of struggle and lead the NHL in points. The Avalanche rank 1st in goals scored per game, goals against per game, and penalty kill percentage. The one blemish is the team ranking 28th on the power play.
