COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey graduate student Makenna Webster has been named a Second Team All-American, announced by the National Field Hockey Coach Association (NFHCA) on Tuesday.
 
This is the third straight season earning All-American honors for Webster and she is just the seventh player in program history to earn All-American status in multiple seasons. She joins Sue Marcellus (1977, 1978, 1979), Katie Hobson (1999, 2000), Vanessa Immordino (2001, 2002), Saskia Mueller (2004, 2005), Yesenia Luces (2005, 2007) and Berta Queralt (2009, 2010). Additionally, the Buckeyes have now produced an All-American in four consecutive seasons (Emma Goldean in 2022, followed by Webster in 2023, 2024 and 2025).
 
Webster had a standout season for the Buckeyes, leading the team with a career high 19 goals. She also had a team-high seven assists and 45 points.
 
Webster set a single-game scoring record when she netted six goals in a win against Kent State on Aug. 31. She earned All-Big Ten First Team honors for the third straight season and All-West Region First Team honors for the third straight season.
 
Webster finished her career ranked first in program history in game-winning goals (16) and penalty strokes made (seven), third in goals (58) and points (149), fifth in assists (33) and 10th in shots (178).
