The Oregon boys hockey team lost its second straight game, 8-1 to Sun Prairie on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Oregon Ice Arena.
Sun Prairie’s Mason Nesbit scored two goals and had an assist. The Cardinals scored four goals in the first period.
Oregon sophomore forward Preston Kromm scored a power-play goal at 7 minutes, 15 seconds in the first period on assists from seniors Dawson Peterson and Jack Clunn.
Sun Prairie tacked on three goals in the second period to take a 7-1 lead. The Cardinals outshot the Panthers (5-2) 40-21 in the game. Oregon junior goaltender Deacon Johnson had 22 saves.
