The Ottawa Senators enter tonight’s fourth and final (!!!) game of the season against the Boston Bruins, with the goal of achieving a season-high 4-game winning streak. Both clubs played yesterday, with Boston falling 5-4 in a shootout to a Quinn Hughes-less Vancouver Canucks.

Since the Bruins started Jeremy Swayman yesterday, they’ll go with Joonas Korpisalo tonight, who sadly, still has a higher save percentage than Linus Ullmark. That could change tonight, however, as not only is Tim Stutzle back in full swing after a mediocre West coast road trip, but depth players such as Ridly Greig and David Perron are finding the scoresheet more frequently as of late.

A win tonight will put the Senators a single point back of the Tampa Bay Lightning for 3rd in the Atlantic, with both clubs playing 35 games each.

For now, assume the same lines and pairings from yesterday, with the exception of Nikolas Matinpalo drawing into the lineup to replace Tyler Kleven, who was injured against Chicago yesterday.

Game Notes:I’m proud to say I predicted a relatively strong year for David Perron. 18 points in 34 games already sees him beating out his total from a tough year for him and his family last season. From the Dylan Cozens acquisition onward, he’s been an above-average third-liner, which in today’s salary cap world isn’t bad at all at $4M.Another Senator who’s slowly but surely been chipping away at his slow start is Fabian Zetterlund. 9 points in his last 14 games brings his total on the year up to 13 in 34. With Perron currently working well on the 2nd line, Zetterlund finding his footing with Tkachuk and Stutzle would go a long way towards Ottawa fielding a more complete top-nine.It’s easy to look at Morgan Geekie (39P in 36 GP) as a product of David Pastrnak, but the Bruins were horrific last season from an offensive standpoint with a similar lineup. From underperformers like Elias Lindholm, to breakout players like Geekie, the players have simply been better this year. It’s a 7:00 pm EST start tonight, and the game is available on TSN5, RDS, and TSN 1200.
